Alfreton’s new 80s Video Shop has unveiled plans to host a Halloween Horror Day event next month.
Straight to Video – 80s Video Shop will be joined by horror artist Graham Humphreys at the event on Sunday, October 16.
Posting on Facebook, the King Street shop said: “Graham was responsible for some of the most recognisable VHS covers of the 1980s such as The Evil Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street 1 &2, The Return of the Living Dead and countless others.
“His artwork would forever be linked to these classic films and we can’t wait to bring him to the shop to meet you all.”
On the day, Graham will be selling prints of some of his most famous works and will also be happy to sign autographs and pose for photos.
The event will have something for the whole family and children – and adults too – are invited to wear their Halloween costumes.
Straight to Video – 80s Video Shop opened in July and is described as part museum, part movie gift shop.
It’s home to a retro collection of 80s videos for viewing and sells a selection of merchandise, including badges, T-shirts and VHS notepads.
The Halloween Horror Day event will take place on Sunday, October 16, between 12pm and 4pm.
