Aldi to close stores on the day of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll’s funeral

Aldi will close all stores on the day of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll’s funeral.
A State Funeral will take place in London on Monday, September 19, after The Queen died at Balmoral on Thursday (September 8).
It was announced over the weekend that the day of the funeral will be a bank holiday.
Aldi has said today (Monday, September 12) that all stores – including the one on Nottingham Road in Somercotes – will be closed on the day of the funeral.
In a post shared on social media, the supermarket said: “As a mark of respect, all Aldi stores across the UK will close on Monday, September 19, to allow our store colleagues to pay tribute to Her Majesty The Queen.”
