A collaboration between two Alfreton businesses has led to the creation of a new beer.

Straight To Video – 80s Video Shop teamed up with Alter Ego Brewing Co to create the new Total Recall IPA.

The collaboration came about after a chance meeting between Rob Lane, co-owner of the 80s Video Shop, and Matt Makin, who runs Alter Ego Brewing Co.

Rob asked Matt if he would be interested in working with him and co-owner Chris Annable.

The result is Total Recall – a red IPA that just happens to share its name with an Arnold Schwarzenegger classic.

The beer was made at Alter Ego Brewing Co’s brewery, located on the Meadow Lane Industrial Estate, with the help of Rob and Chris.

It’s now available to buy from The Tip Inn – Alter Ego’s micropub in Loscoe.

Alter Ego Brewing Co opens its tap room in Alfreton monthly. The next open weekend is set to take place on August 26 and 27.
