An Alfreton dance school will celebrate the start of the new academic year next week by offering free taster sessions in all of its classes.

Drop the Beat Dance Studio offers a variety of different classes for all ages, including musical theatre, ballet, modern jazz and hip hop.

The free taster sessions will be available next week, the week beginning Monday, August 29.

The dance school is also running an incredible competition on social media where you can win a free induction, a free month’s worth of classes and a free t-shirt.

To take part in the competition, you need to follow Drop the Beat Dance Studio on either Facebook or Instagram, like the competition post, tag three people in the comments section and share your favourite post from the social media page to your story, tagging the dance school so they know you’ve shared the post.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday, August 31.

Drop the Beat Dance Studio, based at the Genesis Centre on King Street, opened in January this year.

The school recently put on its first show – Genesis – at the David Nieper Academy.
