Part of Alfreton Road in Westhouses is now closed for up to three weeks.

The road closure will be in place until Monday, April 17 to allow for cable installation work.

The road closure notice says Alfreton Road is closed “a point 40 metres north east of its junction with Park Mill Drive for a distance of 320 metres in a north easterly direction”.

A diversion will be in place throughout the works.

The road closure will affect Stagecoach’s Service 1. According to an update posted on the travel company’s website, the service “is diverting at Blackwell, using Primrose Hill and Fordbridge Lane and then serving Alfreton via South Normanton”.
