Businesses based in Alfreton town centre are being invited to apply for a shop front improvement grant.

Amber Valley Borough Council is offering businesses grants of up to £500 to help improve their shop front.

To qualify for a Market Towns Shop Front Improvement Grant, businesses must have a ground floor shop frontage.

They will also need 50 per cent match funding for the quoted improvement works. For example, businesses can apply for a grant of £250 if the work will cost £500.

The deadline for applications is Friday, October 7.
