Alfrton picked up their third win in four on Saturday on the road against Tamworth.

Tamworth away

Alfreton put in a resilient performance to pick up three points on Saturday afternoon and secure our first three points on the road this season.

Jordan Thewlis picked up his second goal of the season in the August sunshine after 51 minutes as a solid defensive performance ensured that the Reds returned to Derbyshire with all three points ahead of the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Bank Holiday

It’s the first Bank Holiday of the 23/24 season as we face two games in 72 hours. On Saturday we welcome Darlington to the Impact Arena and supporters can purchase tickets for that one here.

This game is segregated so supporters are required to purchase HOME or AWAY tickets.

On Bank Holiday Monday we head to Norfolk to take on King’s Lynn with kick-off there at 3pm.

Scunthorpe United

Preparations are already underway for our fixture at home to Scunthorpe on September 2. Like our fixture with Darlington, this fixture will also be segregated.

Supporters can purchase tickets for this one here.

Billy Fewster

You will have seen the absence of Billy Fewster from our match day squad on Saturday. The club are following strict concussion protocols following his injury on Tuesday night against Peterborough.

Fewster is set to return to action against Scunthorpe United in September.

Jaz Goundry

Defender Jaz Goundry has departed the club to sign for Step 3 side Basford United in order to get more game time.

Jaz has been in and around the squad since we returned for pre-season and we wish him all the best going forward.
