A community initiative in Derbyshire which helps residents in need is appealing for donations.
The Loaves and Fishes Pantry Shop, which opened in Alfreton last December, provides discounted food for those struggling during the current cost of living crisis.
The Pantry, which is based at Alfreton Christian Centre in Hall Street, is open weekly on Thursdays between 10am and 12pm.
The volunteer team behind the initiative is appealing for donations as they see themselves getting busier as the winter kicks in.
A spokesman for the Pantry said: “As the winter weather has now set in, we are once again busy with customers who need a little extra help to afford food.
“I know that there are many others out there struggling too, which is why we hate to have to do a post like this.
“We try our hardest to provide enough for the 76 households we have signed up to our Pantry Shop.
“We don’t receive any food donations from local supermarkets and are heavily reliant on donations from individuals. We don’t get enough donations to cover things, which is why we charge a little amount to our customers for the food they take, so we can offer an option between a foodbank and the supermarkets.”

The Pantry spokesman continued: “We have had a really busy morning today and the list of things we need is too long to put on here, so anything at all is very much appreciated, even if it’s a few tins or packets.
“If anyone would like to give, these can be given at the Alfreton Christian Centre on Wednesdays between 2pm and 4pm or when we’re open on Thursdays between 10am and midday.
“If you would like to donate but none of these times suit, The Pamper Hut on Mansfield Road in Alfreton or Grandma’s Kitchen Events on Town Street in Pinxton are also drop off points.
“If you would still like to give but none of these arrangements suit, please message us through Facebook and we can sort something out.”
