A new planning application seeks permission to turn an empty Alfreton beauty salon into a one bedroom house.
The application, submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council, is for 76 King Street, opposite Alfreton Jobcentre.
The two-storey end of terrace building was last used as a beauty salon and the application seeks permission to change the use of it to residential.
According to the application, the building is currently vacant.
It is not known how long the building has been empty.
