People who do not pay their council tax via direct debit can now apply for the £150 rebate from Amber Valley Borough Council.
The rebate, announced earlier in the year by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, is for households in bands A to D that were liable for council tax as of April 1.
Residents in Amber Valley who pay their council tax via direct debit will have received their rebate in April.
However, those who had not set up a direct debit by April 20 did not receive their rebate automatically and will have to complete an online form.
That form is now available and can be completed on the Amber Valley Borough Council website.
To complete the form, you will need your nine-digit council tax account number.
You will also need your bank details – sort code and account number – so the council can make the £150 payment.
You can also call Amber Valley Borough Council’s customer services team on 01773 841440 and they will complete the form for you.
Amber Valley Borough Council says it aims to process the payments within four weeks after validating applications.
You can find the form – and more information about the rebate – here.
