Amber Valley Borough’s planning board will discuss plans for a huge housing development in Somercotes.
A reserved matters application regarding the “appearance, landscaping, layout and scale of 200 dwellings with associated community open space” at Nether Farm, off Birchwood Lane, is on the agenda for a meeting of the planning board on Monday (September 11).
An outline application for the residential development was approved in January last year.
The proposal is to create a development comprising of two, three and four bedroom homes and the new application details how they would, as well as the layout of the site.
The application has been referred to the planning board due to a high level of public interest in it.
A report set to go before the planning board recommends that the application is approved.
