Amber Valley Borough Council (AVBC) will hold it’s next cabinet meeting in Alfreton.
The council normally holds meetings at its HQ in Ripley but it will be changing where they take place in a bid to become more accessible to local communities.
AVBC said: “To allow more members of our public to attend cabinet meetings, our new cabinet members have decided to change the location of our future meetings.
“In the past, we have met at the Council Chamber, however we realise that having all our meetings in Ripley means that some of the community are unable to attend.”
The next cabinet meeting will take place at Alfreton Christian Centre, on Hall Street, on September 6 at 7pm.
Meetings are also scheduled to take place in Heanor and Belper.
