A beautiful new Wisteria arrangement has replaced Alfreton town centre’s umbrella display.
The new display in Institute Lane is the result of a partnership between Alfreton Town Council and Decx, an Alfreton-based business that specialises in corporate and commercial decoration.
Swathes of Wisteria have also been installed on Central Road and at Alfreton House.
The town council says the display will remain in place until autumn, when preparations for this year’s Christmas decorations will get underway.
Councillor David Taylor, lead member for regeneration at Alfreton Town Council, said: “We had such great feedback from the umbrella display that we wanted to replace it with another display before the Christmas decorations are installed.
“We hope it brightens the day of those shopping in Alfreton. The town council will continue to make investment in the town and lobby other councils to do the same.
“We have lots [to] celebrate in Alfreton.”
