Best wishes have been sent out to a councillor who has resigned from a Derbyshire town council after many years of service.
Councillor Alan Richardson has recently resigned from Alfreton Town Council after many years serving the town.
A spokesman for the council said: “The Town Mayor, councillor Hannah Jowett-Frost along with fellow councillors and staff would like to take this opportunity to thank Alan for his commitment, tireless efforts, and years of service to Alfreton Town Council, countless dedicated hours devoted to making our town a better place.
“We wish Alan the very best.”
