A new restaurant could open on Alfreton’s High Street if a planning application is given the go ahead.

A planning application has been submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council (AVBC) seeking permission to install an extraction flue at 67 High Street.

According to the application, the proposal is to open a restaurant on the ground floor of the building, which was previously used as a charity shop.

The application was among a number of bids validated by AVBC in April.
