A new planning application seeks permission to turn a former garage in Newton into homes for first time buyers.
The application, submitted to Bolsover District Council, is for 49 Main Road.
The proposal is to create five new homes at the site.
A design and access statement attached to the application says: “The proposed project will improve and restore the building’s original external character to be in keeping with the local area, which has a mix of detached/semi-detached houses, flats, and terraced properties.
“The proposed plan is to provide five separate dwellings, 4x two bedroom dwellings and 1x one bedroom dwelling.
“Our intention is to provide housing to first time buyers, professional persons, couples and new families.”
