Bingo players have helped raise almost £2,500 for charity at a fundraiser in a Derbyshire village.
The Post Mill Centre in South Normanton was the venue for the ‘eyes down’ event which was hosted in aid of the Asthma & Lung UK Charity.
A spokesman for the centre said: “We have got yet another charity event success when Caron and Chris Pledge informed us that their recent charity bingo night raised a whopping £2,446 for the Asthma & Lung UK Charity.
“The event was fully packed out with bingoers with dobbers at the ready and a fabulous and fun evening out was had by all.”
The spokesman continued: “Chris also ran and completed the London Marathon recently, so the total raised for the charity will continue to rise.”
