A party celebrating the 70th birthday of 1st Alfreton Brownies has been postponed until November.
The 70th birthday party had been due to take place on Sunday (September 18) but the event has been postponed out of respect following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
It will now take place at Alfreton Community Hall, Mansfield Road, on Sunday, November 20, between 2pm and 4pm.
As before, all previous Brownies, parents, leaders and volunteers are invited to join the celebrations and share their favourite memories of 1st Alfreton Brownies.
An update on Facebook says: “We would love to see you and hear about your favourite (and least favourite) memories of your times at 1st Alfreton Brownies.
“It wouldn’t be an event without cake and of course a commemorative badge designed by one of our current Brownies.”
You can keep up to date with information about the event here.
