The Greyhound in Old Higham Village is an historic pub replete with fresh modern interiors thanks to a £450k refurbishment.
Located just five minutes away from Alfreton’s centre, the reimagined pub concept has created 10 new jobs to ensure that the service matches the new look pub. The interiors, outdoor garden, menu and website have all undergone a beautiful redesign to offer a fresh experience for new and existing patrons.
Upon arriving at this old stone building with old chimney pots and period features, visitors are delighted with the new open fire, hand crafted wall panelling and distinctive furniture. It boasts a modern quintessential style with teal blue walls and exposed brickwork and unique artwork.
The beer garden has an impressive kids’ play area and offers extensive seating for warm summer days.
The brand-new menu offers a wide choice of British classics with a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. Every Thursday from 5pm you can enjoy two steaks and wine for £30 and on Sunday it offers an excellent roast for £13.50. Choose from roast pork leg, beef topside, roast chicken supreme or a veggie roast including all the trimmings.
The pub continues to offer its renowned silky cask ales, craft and guest beers, ciders and good wines.
