Businesses within Alfreton and further across Derbyshire are being invited to sign up for alerts regarding local crime news and crime prevention advice.
Derbyshire Constabulary send out such information via their ‘Derbyshire Alert’ email system.
A spokesman for Alfreton Police said: “We are focusing on Retail Crime. If any business owners would like to join our Derbyshire Alert scheme, please register for the alerts.
“It’s a great way to keep in touch with any local crime news and crime prevention advice.”
The spokesman continued: “By signing up to Derbyshire Alert Business, you can receive message informing you of local crime occurring around your area, as well as crime prevention information, allowing you to protect your property and business.
“To register your business on the system, simply go to www.derbyshirealert.co.uk and sign up via the Business registration section.
“Please remember to active your account from initial sign-up email, without doing this you won’t receive any messages.”
