The volunteer team behind a village carnival in Derbyshire is on the look out for support from businesses.
The 2024 Newton Carnival is set to take place on Saturday, July 13, plus there is a full programme of other family events lined up by the carnival team to take place throughout the year.
The carnival organising team, which is celebrating 25 years of the community extravaganza, is appealing for businesses to help them make this year’s event the best yet.
A spokesman for Newton Carnival said: “We are seeking to make this year’s annual 25th carnival the best one yet but we could do with a helping hand.
“If you have or know of a local business that has the means to donate and sponsor our event floats this year and contribute towards materials and resources we would very much appreciate it.
“Our events are run by only a small team of volunteers and yet provide opportunity and enjoyment for the whole community and local villages.
“Please contact us if you can help by emailing dexter.bullock@outlook.com.”
The spokesman continued: “What can we do for you in return?
“We can share your business across our social media channels and connected groups. We can give your business multiple shout outs on carnival day – to thousands of people.
“And we can display your business advertisement banners and boards (if you have them) on parade and on the carnival field.
“Local businesses that are in a position to help – please do get in touch.”
