A Derbyshire village defibrillator fundraiser has had a cash boost thanks to a brew-up at a community centre.
The recent Coffee & Cake Sale took place at The Post Mill Centre in South Normanton and raised more than £1,000 towards the village’s current campaign for a life-saving piece of equipment.
A spokesman for the centre said: “The Post Mill Centre Team would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who came to our recent ‘Coffee & Cake Sale’ event and helped us raise a massive £1,010.
“We are so very grateful for your generosity. We are now one very close step towards the purchase of the new community defibrillator.”
The spokesman continued: “We would like to thank Lesley, Teresa, Luce, Katie, Jamie, Carla, Christopher, Corina and a big thank you to South Normanton WI, Parish Councillors Sue Cox and Sue Burnham.
“We would also like to thank all those that made kind donations to the raffle and cakes stalls.”
