A top goal scorer at a Derbyshire town’s football club is moving onto pastures new, while a new player will be joining the club.
The news that Jordan Thewlis is leaving Alfreton Football Club and that Max Hunt will be joining The Reds comes ahead of the 2024/25 season.
A spokesman for the club said: “We are sad to confirm that top goal scorer Jordan Thewlis will be moving onto pastures new for the 2024/25 season.
“We would like to thank Jordan for his contribution during his time at the club which saw him score 25 goals in 69 appearances. All the best, Jordan.”
The spokesman later said: “We are delighted to welcome Max Hunt to the club ahead of the 2024/25 season.
“Max joins from fellow Derbyshire side Buxton after receiving their Players’ Player of the Year award. Welcome, Max.”
