A borough mayor has visited a heritage tourist spot in Derbyshire.
Amber Valley Borough Council (AVBC) Mayor, councillor Tony Holmes, has been taking a trip back in time to visit the Crich Tramway Village.
The visit saw the Mayor take a look around the site’s museum as well as chat to the team which runs the tourist spot.

A spokesman for AVBC said: “Amber Valley Mayor and Mayoress, councillor Tony Holmes and councillor Lyndsay Cox, recently had the pleasure of visiting Crich Tramway Village.
“Even though the trams weren’t operating that day, it didn’t dampen any spirits and they were welcomed with open arms and enthusiasm as they explored the museum, discussed future projects, and learned about opportunities for volunteer engagement.”
The council spokesman added: “Our Mayor and Mayoress pass on their extended thanks for the hospitality and they look forward to what ventures lie ahead for Crich Tramway Village.”
