A borough council in Derbyshire has started a public consultation surrounding a local plan for the area.
Amber Valley Borough Council has set out “a vision and a framework for the future development of the borough up to 2040.”
The council is now inviting residents across the borough to have their say on the draft ‘Amber Valley Borough Local Plan 2022-2040’ document before it is formally adopted.
A spokesman for the council said: “Amber Valley Borough Council has prepared a new Local Plan which sets out a vision and a framework for the future development of the borough up to 2040 and includes policies and proposals to address needs and opportunities in relation to housing, the economy, community facilities, and infrastructure, as well to safeguard the environment.
“The Local Plan outlines the following key planning policy areas for the borough: Strategic objectives; Spatial strategy policies; Growth sites policies; Housing policies; Economic development policies; Environment policies; and Infrastructure policies.”
The spokesman continued: “Comments received from partners, stakeholders, and residents during previous consultations have been considered.
“These comments and recommendations, together with other updated information, have been used to inform the production of the Pre-Submission Local Plan.”
