A council is reminding volunteers that there are free courses on offer for them to be able to obtain a ‘Volunteer Passport.’
Derbyshire County Council is making the call and has a course on offer for people to gain an accredited certificate and a ‘Volunteer Passport’ photo ID badge.
A spokesman said: “This is a short course covering key topics all volunteers should be aware of. It is for existing volunteers and those thinking about volunteering for the first time.”
They continued: “Everyone who completes the course gets an accredited certificate and a Volunteer Passport photo ID badge. It might help you find volunteering or work opportunities.”
The course, which is being held at a variety of venues across Derbyshire, is also available online.
