Residents and staff at a care home in Alfreton have been celebrating all things Nigerian.
The Meadows Care Home was the venue for the recent cultural day.
A spokesman for the home, which is situated in Mansfield Road, said: “What a fabulous day we had celebrating the culture and diversity of Nigeria.
“At lunch time we indulged in a delicious, home cooked three course meal, whilst listening to traditional Nigerian music.”
The spokesman continued: “Residents and staff loved getting involved researching facts and finding pictures of the Nigerian culture.
“They put together a wonderful fact board and helped decorate with handmade flags.”
They added: “A huge thank you to our very kind staff who made this day so special, those that offered to prepare and cook the meal and for those who participated wearing their national dress, it was very much appreciated.”
