Alfreton’s Christmas festivities are set to get underway with a series of co-ordinated events taking place across the town centre next month.
The festive season will officially start in Alfreton on Saturday, November 25 with the Alfreton Town Council organised ‘Christmas Lights Switch On’ extravaganza.
Celebrations will take place at Alfreton Indoor Market, Alfreton House and Genesis Entertainment Centre before the town’s Christmas lights are switched on early in the evening.
Alfreton Indoor Market, located on Institute Lane, will host a Festive Craft Fair between 8am and 4pm.
Later in the day, between 12pm and 5pm, Genesis Entertainment Centre, in King Street, will host the Alfreton Christmas Market.
Entry will be free and there will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy, including stalls, entertainment and Santa’s Grotto.
Celebrations at Alfreton House, located on the town’s High Street, will get underway at 2pm and will continue until after the Christmas lights are switched on at 5.30pm.
