Plans for a new housing estate in South Normanton have been unveiled by developers.

Homes by Honey wants to build 50 new homes on land at Lees Lane and has submitted its plans to Bolsover District Council.

Outline planning application for the development was granted in May 2021 but with the condition that approval is sought for the layout, scale, appearance and landscaping of the site.

Homes by Honey has now submitted an application detailing the layout of the site, how it will be accessed and how the proposed homes will look.

On the scale of the site, a design and access statement attached to the application explains: “The proposals are for residential use (only) on this site as established by the outline planning permission as by condition allowing for up to 50 dwellings.

“The proposed two, three and four bedroom homes total 50 dwellings in detached, semi-detached and terraced forms. Affordable housing in the format of semi-detached and terraced properties is proposed, equating to five per cent of the site.”

According to the planning application, the proposed development will have a single point of access via Lees Lane.
