A youth provision organisation in a Derbyshire town is hosting an Easter raffle to raise further funds.
AYUP (Alfreton Youngsters Umbrella Provision) is a volunteer run initiative which offers a multitude of weekly activities for youngsters in the town.
A spokesman for AYUP said: “Are you a fan of chocolate ? If so we’ve got the perfect prize for you.
“Massive thanks to Karina’s Kards and Krafts for donating the amazing Easter chocolate hamper and a big thank you to The Bankers Tavern in Alfreton for selling the tickets and giving it a home until a winner is drawn.
“Head there now to grab some tickets and be in with a chance of winning. Raffle will be drawn on Sunday, March 31.”
They continued: “All funds raised will go towards keeping the clubs and activities running for the youngsters of Alfreton.
“Buy some tickets and help support the future of Alfreton.”
The CIC (Community Interest Company) AYUP was set up last July.
The activities it currently offers includes: funding the Blend Outreach Youth Project to be out and about engaging the youth in activities in town on Monday evenings; Sports Club Night for 11 to 17 year olds at Alfreton Leisure Centre on Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm; and funding the Old Farm Bus to put on a youth club at Mansfield Road Community Hall every Friday between 5pm and 7pm which includes games and activity workshops.
AYUP relies on donations from the local community and has largely been made possible by the fundraising efforts of James Simpson, who has raised thousands of pounds to support youth services in the town since last summer.
