An annual festival celebrating walks around Amber Valley and Erewash will return at the weekend.
However, the Autumn Footprints Amber Valley and Erewash Walking Festival will take a different format when it launches on Saturday, September 12, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Instead of taking part in guided walking tours, participants will be able to download leaflets detailing different walks around the region.
The event, organised jointly by a range of local organisations including Amber Valley Borough Council and Derbyshire County Council, will run until Sunday, September 27.
The Autumn Footprints website encourages people to still take part in the event despite the changes.
It states: “We want you this September to discover with your family/friends the great range of local walks in Amber Valley and Erewash which have been produced over the last 20 years.
“Walking is very good for both mental and physical health – so why not see what is on your doorstep.
“Please keep to the government guidelines, ensuring social distancing and currently no more than six meeting from different households.”
