If you’re interested in delving into the past and exploring bygone times, then you might want to hear more about Pinxton and South Normanton Local History Group.
The group meets on every third Monday of the month at 7.30pm the Post Mill Centre, in South Normanton, for talks and slideshows about the local area or well known local figures from the past.
Membership is £12 per year or £2 per visit. Members of the group receive a quarterly newsletter.
In addition to the monthly meetings, Pinxton and South Normanton Local History Group hold two heritage days a year – one in South Normanton and one in Pinxton. The next heritage day is due to take place in April.
