Keeping ourselves fit and healthy during lockdown was a real challenge – the weather was awful and gyms were forced to close as part of the Covid-19 restrictions.
But those limits have now all been lifted, sparking a mass return to gyms and fitness classes – and it’s no different here in Alfreton.
Alfreton is home to a number of different gyms and fitness facilities, including Amber Valley Fitness Centre.
The gym, on Nottingham Road, offers a wide range of weights and equipment, and specialises in sports conditioning and nutritional advice.
There’s also Fit 3:16, which hosts classes and smaller group training sessions at Watchorn Church on Derby Road.
Fit 3:16 offers a range of different classes, including spin, weights training and boxing fitness.
Meanwhile, Alfreton Leisure Centre has a gym and a swimming pool, and offers a range of different exercise classes for both adult and children.
The leisure centre, based on Church Street, also has a squash court and and indoor cycling studio.
