The deadline for taking part in a consultation on a proposal to close the ticket office at Alfreton train station has been pushed back.
East Midlands Railway (EMR) launched the consultation at the beginning of July as part of of national reforms announced by the Rail Delivery Group to modernise the industry.
The ticket office at Alfreton train station is currently open between 6.45am and 6pm Monday to Saturday, and between 10.30am and 6.30pm on Sundays.
However, the proposal is to close the ticket office and make staff more visible elsewhere in the station and to support passengers with accessibility needs and offer advice about train fares.
The public consultation was originally due to close on July 26 but the deadline has now been extended until September 1.
To take part in the consultation, send your views to email@example.com or write freepost to RTEH-XAGE-BYKZ, Transport Focus, PO Box 5594, Southend on Sea, SS1 9PZ.
