A programme of fixtures have been announced for the South Wingfield Cricket Club.
The Derbyshire-based club has five male teams, a thriving junior section and a female team.
A spokesman at the club said of their recent 2024 Fixture Release: “Here is our first fixture release for the upcoming season.
“Match day one, April 20, our 1s host Alfreton Cricket Club at Holme Lane, 2s take on former 3N side West Hallam White Rose Cricket Club, the 3s begin life in division 6N at home to Ashover Barbarians, and new 4s captain Will Jones takes his side to Cutthorpe Cricket Club.
“Our Ladies team kick off their Softball Season a week later at Riddings Cricket Club who host the first Softball league matches of the season on April 28.”
They continued: “Alongside cup games still to be confirmed, we have an exciting summer ahead for all sides.
“Our aim for all teams is to be searching for wins and success to be found leading up to the final round of games on September 14.”
Meanwhile, the club is still on the look out for sponsorship of it’s 2024 season.
The club spokesman said: “Do you own a local business or know someone who does?
“We are searching for companies to offer a range of promotions to elevate your name through our club during this upcoming season.
“This year’s advertising opportunities for local businesses are as follows: Large advertising boards around the ground (if you’ve been to the ground you will have seen these or as shown in the images below); Match day sponsorship.”
