Shoppers visiting Alfreton will be able to take advantage of free car parking in the run up to Christmas.
Amber Valley Borough Council is offering free parking at all of its pay and display car parks from Sunday (December 11) until Boxing Day (December 26).
The offer is subject to time restrictions – parking will be free after 1pm until midnight each day.
Unveiling the offer, the council said: “Amber Valley Borough Council is alerting residents and visitors that they can take advantage of its popular annual free Christmas parking initiative, which runs from 1pm each day, for two weeks, in all of the borough council’s pay and display car parks.
“The free parking runs from Sunday, December 11 through to, and including, Monday, December 26, and is aimed at encouraging residents and visitors to visit the town centres and shops in the borough to support traders and the local economy.
“Free parking is valid from 1pm each day from December 11 and ends at midnight on December 26. Other rules regarding parking in disabled parking bays and maximum stays will still apply.”
The offer will be available at the following Alfreton car parks:
Rodgers Lane East
Rodgers Lane West
