A series of Winter holiday clubs are on offer for youngsters across Derbyshire – including in the Alfreton area.
Derbyshire County Council (DCC) is running its winter ‘It’s About Me’ Clubs for free to families in need.
A spokesman for the council said: “Bookings are open. If your child is between four and 16-years-old and is eligible for benefits-related free school meals, they can access the winter ‘It’s About Me’ Clubs for free.
“We are providing free holiday clubs across Derbyshire including Amber Valley, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, High Peak, South Derbyshire and the Peak District.”
The clubs are running from December 27 until January 5.
The council spokesman continued: “Parents will need their IAM code from their child’s school to book activities.
“If they haven’t received their booking code, they should contact their child’s school.
“It’s About Me is a Holiday Activity and Food Programme is funded by the Department for Education. It is designed for children and young people across Derbyshire to have fulfilling, active and healthy school holidays.”
