Kind-hearted fundraisers in Derbyshire have met an assistance dog who they have raised funds for.
Staff at The Miners Arms in Alfreton have recently met ‘Betty’ the Guide Dog after landlord Lewis Ward and his team hit an amazing £5,000 target in fundraising for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Lewis said: “We have raised £5,000 to help train Betty to be a Guide Dog for the Blind. A big thank you to everyone involved with all the fundraising events.
“After an overwhelming amount of support we have decided to start another ‘Name a Puppy Appeal.’
“This time our target is £10,000. Our first event to help achieve our target is on March 2 with a charity auction night.”
Donations are welcome for the auction night.
