A team of runners from a cricket club in Derbyshire has raised almost £700 for charity.
The team from South Wingfield Cricket Club took part in the 2024 Derby 10k which took place on March 24.
They took on the energetic challenge in memory of Andrew Smithurst who was a club member of around 40 years.
A club spokesman said: “The funds raised will be put towards a memorial at Holme Lane, to show our appreciation and gratitude to Andrew’s time at the club over the many years as a member, player and groundsman.
“Additional fundraising efforts will be used to support the club’s ongoing developments.”
The club spokesman added: “Thank you and well done to everyone who took part in the Derby 10k and 3k.
“Donations are still open so please show your support.
“Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, we are currently at £680. Up the Wingy!”
