Youngsters at a Derbyshire village school have been gaining an insight into the life of a firefighter.
Representatives from Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service visited Glebe Junior School in South Normanton this week.
A spokesman for Alfreton Police SNT said on Wednesday (March 27): “Yesterday Glebe Mini Police was visited by our brothers and sisters in blue, Derbyshire Fire Service.
“The kids really enjoyed learning all there is to know about what the fire service do, from putting out fires to RTCs and rescuing animals.
“The kids even got to sit in the truck and try on some kit.
“Big thank you to Alfreton Fire Station for making this possible.”
