Grants of up to £10,000 are being made available for community groups in Amber Valley.
Amber Valley Borough Council is inviting not-for-profit groups and charities that make a positive impact on their local communities to apply for a grant from the Community and Place Fund – part of the UK Shared Prosperity Funding.
Community groups in Amber Valley can apply for grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 to help the council deliver its Community and Place investment priority.
Grant funding will centre around the themes of culture and communities, and health and wellbeing.
To be eligible for funding, community groups must deliver against the following criteria:
Eligible community groups will be able to apply for grants from April 1.
Applications will be accepted until May 12. If all of the funding has been allocated, the fund will then close until the following year.
However, if funding is still available, a second round of applications will be accepted between June 1 and July 14.
Councillor Tony Harper, Amber Valley Borough Council’s cabinet member for regeneration, said: “I am delighted to help launch the community grants fund, which will enable local groups to bid for funding to deliver their own priorities and support their local area.
“This funding could make a huge difference to many of our residents’ lives.”
