Schools across Derbyshire break up for the Easter holidays at the end of the month, leaving children with two weeks off.
Fortunately for them – and their parents – there are lots of activities and holiday clubs scheduled to take place in the Alfreton area during the school holidays.
Here is our round-up of activities and holiday clubs:
The whole family can enjoy board games at Alfreton Library on Saturday, April 1.
The free session will take place between 12pm and 2pm.
There is no need to book.
Alfreton Library will also host two special craft sessions during the Easter holidays.
Grow Your Own on Wednesday, April 5, and Spring Animals on Wednesday, April 12.
Both events are free to attend but you will need to book a place for Grow Your Own.
You can find out more about both of the special Easter craft activities here.

Easter holiday tennis camps will take place at Ripley and Alfreton Tennis Club over two weeks.
Sessions will be available on April 3, 4, and 5 during the first week of the holidays and on April 11, 12 and 13. Each of the sessions will take place between 9am and 1pm.
The sessions, organised by Pointbypointtennis, cost £20 per day or £50 per week.
To book a place, call Phil on 07891708420 or email pointbypointtennis@gmail.com.
South Normanton Library will host a children’s Easter craft session on Tuesday, April 4, between 10.30am and 11.30am.
The event is suitable for children aged between three and 11 years old.
The event is free but booking is required. To book a place, call 01629 535 000.
A sponsored walk on Easter Sunday will raise money to support the Alfreton Big Summer Event and children can take part for free.
The walk will start at Alfreton Cricket Club at 10am on Sunday, April 9.
Participants can choose to complete either a six mile or 10 mile walk.
It costs £5 for adults to take part. Sponsorship forms are available from Alfreton House Tea Rooms.

We will add to this round-up as we receive more information about events and activities so check back regularly for more.
If you’re hosting an event or activity during the Easter holidays, please send the details to editor.spiritofalfreton@gmail.com.
