Swanwick Pre-school has once again been rated ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted – with inspectors praising staff for their relationships with children.
The Pentrich Road pre-school provides childcare and early education to children aged between two-and-half years old and five.
Ofsted inspected the pre-school in March and an inspection report published this month highlights a number of positives.
Inspectors note the close relationships children have with staff and how “staff have a clear intent for what they want children to learn”.
Ofsted also highlights how staff work with local schools to support the transition of older children and how parents speak “affectionately” about staff.
The report states: “They say they are amazing and a breath of fresh air. They feel well informed about their children’s progress and their activities during the day.
“Parents are extremely happy with the positive relationships developed between staff and children and say that the staff are like family.”
Martin Dye, chair of Swanwick Pre-school, said: “We’re delighted to retain our ‘good’ Ofsted rating and is a testament to the hard work of our brilliant staff and committee, who take great care in ensuring we provide a good level of education and a safe and interactive environment for the children in our local community to enjoy.”
