L W Smart Repairs has donated £1,000 to help fund youth services in Alfreton.
The business, based on Lydford Road in Alfreton, made the donation to support James Simpson’s fundraising challenge.
Today (Friday, July 14), James is embarking on the incredible challenge of completing five iron distance triathlons in five consecutive days.
On average, James will swim for 2.5 miles, cycle for 112 miles and run a marathon on each day.
He will be doing it all indoors too, at Liverpool John Moore University while undergoing scientific testing.
James, who works at Woodbridge Junior School, is doing all of this to raise money for Alfreton Youngster’s Umbrella Provision (AYUP).
The new CIC is raising money to fund youth activities in Alfreton and will soon be setting up a club on Friday nights.
If you would like to sponsor James, you can find his fundraising page here.
