A heritage trust in Derbyshire is hosting a series of talks this Winter.
The Alfreton & District Heritage Trust hosts its informative talks at Palmer Morewood Memorial Club in Hall Street, Alfreton.
They run from 1pm until 3pm and include a free buffet for visitors.
The trust’s Talk Programme for 2024 includes:
Saturday, January 13: History of Alfreton and Somercotes from Doomsday Book to Present Day, presented by the trust’s Phil Fearnley.
Saturday, January 27: ‘My Mum had one of Those’ presented by Paul and Janet Barrass.
Saturday, February 10: Music from the 1950s up to 1962, presented by Mike Coupe.
Saturday, February 24: ‘Monday is Wash Day’ presented by the trust’s Ivan Brentnall and fellow ‘Scrubber’ John Rayson.
Saturday, March 9: ‘Knitters, Nailers and Traitors’ – a look at Belper’s history and its impact on the world, presented by David Skillen.
