Alfreton Library is among a number of local businesses and services set to close on Monday (September 19), the day of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth ll.

The closure means that the weekly Story and Rhyme Time event will be cancelled.

A State Funeral honouring the life of Her Majesty The Queen will take place in London on Monday (September 19).

The day of the funeral has been designated as a bank holiday to allow people to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth ll.

All schools will be closed and a number of local businesses and services have also announced plans to shut on the day of the funeral.
