“On Tuesday it was Palmer Morewood and Wednesday South Wingfield. The choir along with their ‘Sagalouts’ and ‘Leonora the Lion’ raised laughter song and a fair bit of ‘joining in.’
“Performing songs including ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ (with wide eyed children holding Leonora), roasting chestnuts in The Christmas Song’ alongside ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Candlelight Carol.’
“The ‘Sagalouts’ brought much colour and laughter with a medley of Christmas songs even bringing ‘Elvis’ in for a spot.”
The spokesman continued: “The fantastic audiences took the roof off the club buildings as the choir led them singing ‘Sweet Caroline’ followed by Slade’s ‘Merry Christmas.”
