The ‘Sing Along with Ellie’ group, which has sessions at The Junction 28 Church in South Normanton; as well as the Alfreton Male Voice Choir, are amongst the local talent which is set to entertain visitors at the celebrations which will run between 10am and 2pm.

A spokesman for Amber Valley Borough Council said: “A programme of live entertainment will be provided by movers, shakers, dancers, and musicians from across Amber Valley’s communities, and there’s an invitation for everyone to get involved and join in with the free interactive activities on offer for everyone.
“Amongst our programme of entertainment, Sing Along With Ellie will be performing at 11.40am on Saturday.
“They are a mixture of lots of lovely people, some even living with Dementia, but simply inclusive of all who want to take part and sing their hearts out.
“Audience members who come along will be invited to join in and extra song books will be available for those who do.
“The performance will be informal and all about having fun and feeling good, with a line up of well loved songs.”

The spokesman continued: “Next up on the announcement list for ‘The Making of Amber Valle’ is the Alfreton Male Voice Choir who will begin their performance at 11am on Saturday.
“They have a wide-ranging repertoire fit for all tastes including hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, What a Wonderful World, Hallelujah, You Raise Me Up, and Sweet Caroline, to name just a few.”
Meanwhile, other entertainment set for Saturday’s celebrations include a performance by Studio 7, a family run dance and performing arts school based in Horsley Woodhouse, at 1pm.
