Major works to improve a stretch of the A38 will affect travel between South Normanton and Sutton-in-Ashfield over the next three weeks.
Via East Midlands, acting on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, will be carrying out resurfacing works on a stretch of road between the East Midlands Designer Outlet and the The Snipe pub.
The first phase of the work will start tonight (Monday, September 4) and will run until September 14. During this time, the road will be closed eastbound overnight between 8pm and 6am.
Works to improve the westbound carriageway will then follow and will take place between September 15 and 27.
Diversion routes via the M1, A608, A611 and A617 will be in place throughout the overnight closures.
