Man charged with alleged attempted murder of woman

A man has been charged for the alleged attempted murder of a woman after an assault in Riddings at the weekend.
Derbyshire Police have issued this update on the incident.
A spokesman for the force said today (February 21): “A man has been charged with the alleged attempted murder of a woman after an assault in Riddings.
“We were called at 1.20am on Sunday, February 18, to a report that a woman had been assaulted at a flat in Greenhill Lane, Riddings.
“At the scene the woman, who was in her 20s, was found with serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
“A 30-year-old man was arrested at the scene and was last night charged with attempted murder.”
The spokesman continued: “Kain Tailby, of Greenhill Lane, Riddings, has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ this morning (February 21).
